Scribe Getting Started

Scribe Legend Lore into your grimoire and begin indexing your collection.

  1. Install Ollama — Download from ollama.com and pull the embedding model: ollama pull nomic-embed-text
  2. Download Legend Lore — Grab the installer for your platform above and install it on your machine.
  3. Connect your AI agent — Use the built-in MCP server to give your local AI agent access to your indexed collection.
  4. Add your PDFs — Point Legend Lore at a folder of TTRPG PDFs. Select the ones you want to use during prep and play.
  5. Index & Tag — Let the indexer run and create embeddings for your PDFs. Add game system tags to your files to keep things organized.
  6. Create your collection — Group indexed PDFs into collections for easier browsing and use by agents.
